Baseball Recap: Southern Academy Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Southern Academy duked it out with Southeast Lauderdale on Saturday. The Southern Academy Cougars fell just short of the Southeast Lauderdale Tigers by a score of 2-1.

Southern Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Rogers, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Southern Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Southeast Lauderdale, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southern Academy will host Wilcox Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southeast Lauderdale, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Neshoba Central at 7:00 p.m.
