Baseball Game Preview: Monmouth-Roseville Titans vs. Putnam County Panthers

The Monmouth-Roseville Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Putnam County Panthers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Monmouth-Roseville and three for Putnam County.

Things were looking good for Monmouth-Roseville after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Newman Central Catholic, falling 19-6.

Andrew Way and Landyn Angelo did some serious damage despite the final result: Way went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI, while Angelo went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Putnam County didn't have quite enough to beat Mendota on Friday and fell 9-8. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by just one run.

Monmouth-Roseville's record is now 7-19. As for Putnam County, their record now sits at 16-10.
