Softball Recap: North Haven Nighthawks vs. East Haven Yellowjackets

North Haven stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Wednesday. They blew past the East Haven Yellowjackets 11-2. Winning may never get old, but North Haven sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Gabriella Blanchard was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Blanchard has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Blanchard was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, North Haven let Emelia Brandi and Alyssa DiGiovanna loose on the outfield. Brandi went 3-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI, while DiGiovanna scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Isabella Blanchard was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles.
