Basketball Recap: Meyer Takes a Loss

Meyer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Mills Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ravens of the 51-31 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2020.

Despite the loss, Meyer still got an impressive performance from Skylar Hicks, who posted 17 points. That's the most points Hicks has posted since back in December of 2023.

Meyer's record now sits at 4-11. As for Valley Mills, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meyer will face off against Meridian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valley Mills, they will square off against Rio Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
