Softball Recap: Central Cambria Triumphs

Central Cambria lost to Bedford back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Wednesday. The Red Devils walked away with a 12-9 win over the Bisons.

Rowyn Ruddek spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits.

At the plate, Sophia Blasko was a standout: she scored three runs while going 4-for-5. Aubrey Ruddek was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Blasko wasn't the only one making solid contact: Central Cambria kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 12 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Central Cambria now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bedford, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
