Baseball Recap: Pascack Hills Gets the Win

Pascack Hills's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Tenafly Tigers. The Broncos haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

John Giannantonio made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Giannantonio was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Kyle Wenckus was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Corey Ginsberg, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Pascack Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Pascack Hills' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Tenafly, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pascack Hills will host Passaic Valley at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Tenafly, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Cresskill at 11:00 a.m.
