Softball Game Preview: Parish Episcopal Panthers vs. Nolan Catholic Vikings

The Parish Episcopal Panthers will head out to square off against the Nolan Catholic Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Parish Episcopal's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-0 to Liberty Christian, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Nolan Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Trinity Christian, falling 12-2.

Eva Hons made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Leah Granados was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Parish Episcopal's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Nolan Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14-1.

Parish Episcopal beat Nolan Catholic 5-2 in their previous meeting last Thursday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
