If Forest was riding high fresh off their 13-0 takedown of DeLand last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats fell just short of the Lake Minneola Hawks by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jaiden Prestipino made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Rilynn Fountain was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Lake Minneola, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forest will challenge South Sumter at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season. As for Lake Minneola, they will face off against Foundation Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
