Baseball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin fell victim to Carnegie Vanguard and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Carnegie Vanguard Rhinos, falling 8-0. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rhinos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Austin and nudges their season record down to 1-7. As for Carnegie Vanguard, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

While Austin had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
