            The Shenango Wildcats will head out to  take on the Poland Seminary Bulldogs  at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Shenango is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9  runs per game  this season.
Shenango barely beat New Castle the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats' pitchers stepped up to hand the Hurricanes  a   13-0 shutout  on Thursday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 2, 2019, but that streak is no more.
 Jonathan Santangelo looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only two  hits over four innings pitched.
 At the plate, Shenango got a  massive  performance out of  Joey Campoli, who  went 2-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. That's the most  doubles  Campoli has posted since back in April.  Matt Fry was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI.
 Poland Seminary came out on top against Boardman  on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run fourth inning. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  7-6  win over the Spartans. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
 Shenango's record now sits at 14-5. As for Poland Seminary, their record is now 13-3.
 Shenango might still be hurting after the  16-8 defeat they got from Poland Seminary  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
