Baseball Recap: Goddard Comes Up Short

Goddard came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-2 to the Haysville Campus Colts. The contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Goddard saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kane Dunlavy, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. That triple marked the first that Dunlavy has hit this season.

Goddard's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Haysville Campus, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

While Goddard had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
