Softball Recap: Franklin Comes Up Short

Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cedarburg Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Sabers have lost by exactly two runs.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Cedarburg, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coming up, Franklin will venture away from home to face off against Kenosha Tremper at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cedarburg, they will welcome Slinger at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Owls have now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
