Baseball Game Preview: Urbana Hillclimbers vs. Bethel Bees

The Urbana Hillclimbers will square off against the Bethel Bees at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

On Wednesday, Urbana didn't have quite enough to beat Carroll and fell 6-5. The Hillclimbers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shane Hoffman made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Urbana is 3-1 when Hoffman posts two or more runs, but 8-10 otherwise. Kevin Endres was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Bethel owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Thursday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Miami East. The victory continues a trend for the Bees in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won six in a row.

Bethel saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Barker, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Urbana's loss dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Bethel, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.
