Baseball Recap: Manual Thunderbolts vs. Montbello Warriors
Manual extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-4. They came up short against the Montbello Warriors, falling 28-0. The Thunderbolts were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.
As for Montbello, their win ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 8.7 runs per game.
For Montbello's part, Angel Perez-Aguirre looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
On the hitting side, Jesus Veloz was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, four runs, and two doubles. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Dammond, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one double.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manual will face off against Thornton at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Montbello, they will take on Silver Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
