Graford proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 15) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Santo Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-2 last Tuesday.

Graford saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Altum, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another was Kamdyn Richardson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Graford's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Santo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9-1 record this season.

Graford will be playing in front of their home fans against Hico at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Santo, they are taking a road trip to take on Lipan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Wildcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
