Volleyball Recap: Simon Kenton Comes Up Short

Simon Kenton came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the North Oldham Mustangs. The Pioneers have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Among those leading the charge was Ashlyn Thompson, who had 14 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted over her last seven matchups. Brooklyn Totten also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Simon Kenton's defeat dropped their record down to 20-14. As for North Oldham, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-11 record this season.

Simon Kenton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Oldham, they will face off against Eminence at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
