Recap: Becker Bulldogs vs. Princeton Tigers
Even though the Becker Bulldogs have not done well against the Princeton Tigers recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Becker walked away with a 98-86 victory over Princeton. Becker's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
It was another big night for Kyan Blomquist, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mitchell Soltau, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Becker pushed their record up to 8-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 87.0 points per game. As for Princeton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Becker on the road again on Tuesday and play against Cambridge-Isanti at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Cambridge-Isanti has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 461 points over their last six contests. As for Princeton, they will head out on the road to square off against North Branch at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in North Branch's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
