Basketball Recap: Colfax Piles Up the Points Against Bear River

Colfax lost to Bear River back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Colfax Falcons took their contest with ease, bagging a 79-51 victory over the Bear River Bruins. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Bear River still got an impressive performance from Dylan Donley, who posted 21 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Ryder Eason, who scored seven points.

Colfax's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Bear River, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-11 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Colfax will face off against Mira Loma at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bear River, they will venture away from home to face off against Marysville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Marysville knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight contests -- so hopefully Bear River likes a good challenge.
