Baseball Recap: Torrey Pines Wins Going Away Against Santa Fe Christian

Torrey Pines never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Santa Fe Christian Eagles as the Torrey Pines Falcons made off with a 9-0 win. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Torrey Pines got a great performance from Brody Martin as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Dolan Maher was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and five RBI. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Cole, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one double, and one RBI.

The win got Torrey Pines back to even at 2-2. As for Santa Fe Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Torrey Pines will be taking part in a tournament against Sage Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Torrey Pines' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Sage Creek's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Santa Fe Christian, they will take on San Marcos in a tournament on Friday.
