Baseball Recap: Sonoma Valley Dragons vs. Albany Cougars

Sonoma Valley blew Albany out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Albany got their revenge. The Sonoma Valley Dragons fell just short of the Albany Cougars by a score of 7-5. The Dragons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Colin Buckley made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases and three RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Luciano Hernandez, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Sonoma Valley now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Albany, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
