Volleyball Recap: Pinewood Prep Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Pinewood Prep waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Charleston Collegiate Sundevils 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Pinewood Prep walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 25-10.

Several Sundevils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josie Mitchell, who had 11 digs and five kills. Mitchell is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last three games she's played. Vika Vuyiv was another key player, getting 12 assists and two aces.

Pinewood Prep's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Charleston Collegiate, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Pinewood Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Ashley Hall on the 7th. As for Charleston Collegiate, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Faith Christian on the 7th.
