            Softball Recap: St. Catherine's Angels vs. Lake Country Lutheran Lightning        
        
		
        
        
            St. Catherine had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Lake Country Lutheran Lightning by a score of  7-4  on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Angels, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

 Anika Munoz made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 13 batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned runs off   nine  hits. Those  13  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Lauren Daly, who  went a perfect 4-for-4 with three  stolen bases and two  RBI. Those  three  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Londyn Pardo, who  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in two of her five plate appearances.
 St. Catherine's has already played their next game,  a  25-18  defeat against Shoreland Lutheran on the 8th. As for Lake Country Lutheran, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next  contest,  a  21-6  victory against Living Word Lutheran on the 8th.
