Softball Recap: Pecos Eagles vs. Seminole Indians
Pecos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Seminole Indians. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by just one run.
Carysa Campos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Audri Morales, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Pecos' loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Seminole, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.
We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pecos is set to challenge their familiar foe Monahans at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Seminole will square off against rival Fort Stockton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
