Softball Recap: Wonderview Comes Up Short

Wonderview was the 26-18 winner over Nemo Vista when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Wonderview came up short against Nemo Vista on Friday, falling 15-4. The Daredevils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wonderview saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison West, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. That RBI was West's first of the season. Another was Kierstin Roch, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.

West wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Wonderview kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.

Wonderview's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Nemo Vista, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-2.

Wonderview and Nemo Vista will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time Wonderview sees the field they'll take on St. Joseph at 4:30 p.m. on April 1. As for Nemo Vista, their break will end when they face White County Central at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st.
