Preview: Timberland Wolves vs. Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks
After eight games on the road, Timberland is heading back home. They will take on the Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Timberland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Saturday.
Timberland fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Bishop England but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Battling Bishops by a score of 45-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Timberland has suffered yet this season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Da?Sani Kinlaw, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Zion Prioleau, who scored 12 points along with three steals and two blocks.
Oceanside Collegiate Academy posted their biggest win yet this season on Wednesday. They really took it to Lake Marion for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-29 victory at home. With Oceanside Collegiate Academy ahead 38-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Timberland's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5.
Timberland didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Oceanside Collegiate Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 52-46 victory. Will Timberland repeat their success, or does Oceanside Collegiate Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
