Baseball Recap: Perry Extends Winning Streak to Three

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Perry walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Bath Fighting Bees on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Ramblers: when they faced off against the Fighting Bees two weeks ago, they had to take a 5-2 defeat.

Wyatt Patrick spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Perry is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 3-23 otherwise.

At the plate, Perry saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyger Whitbeck, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

The victory (which was Perry's third in a row) raised their record to 6-23. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Bath, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Perry didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 loss against Lansing Catholic on the 31st. Bath does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
