Basketball Recap: Germantown Takes a Loss

Germantown lost against Southwind last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Germantown Red Devils came up short against the Southwind Jaguars, falling 58-32. The game marked the Red Devils' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Ronald Towns was his usual excellent self, going 8 of 13 on his way to 18 points and five assists for Southwind. The team also got some help courtesy of Austen Price, who went 5 for 9 en route to 10 points and eight rebounds.

Germantown has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Southwind, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-6.

Germantown has already played their next game (against Collierville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Southwind Jaguars take on the Arlington Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
