Volleyball Recap: Discovery Has No Trouble Against Vanguard

Discovery's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Vanguard Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Monday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-3, 25-14.

Alexa Leggate went supernova, getting ten aces. Another player making a difference was Amanda Cardona, who had six aces.

The win snapped Discovery's losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 2-18 record. As for Vanguard, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Discovery didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Ridgeview Global Studies Academy on the 7th. As for Vanguard, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Fort Meade on the 6th.
