Baseball Recap: Northampton Takes a Loss

Northampton was the 14-0 winner over Stroudsburg when they last played one another back in April of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Konkrete Kids took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mountaineers on Thursday. The Konkrete Kids have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Northampton saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gavin Pychinka, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. The Konkrete Kids are 3-1 when Pychinka posts two or more runs, but 3-6 otherwise. Another was Tommy Hensel, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Northampton now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Stroudsburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Northampton has already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Freedom on the 19th. As for Stroudsburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 11-8 win against Abington Heights on the 19th.
