Football Recap: Tatnall Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Tatnall's offense. They came up short against the Wilmington Friends Quakers on Saturday, falling 20-0. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Quakers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Griffin Testerman threw for 57 yards on three of 11 attempts. Gavin Blalock was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards. On the ground, Kellan Pudenz rushed for 29 yards.

This is the second loss in a row for Tatnall and nudges their season record down to 1-8. As for Wilmington Friends, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Tatnall will square off against rival Mount Pleasant at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Wilmington Friends is set to take on their familiar foe Tower Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
