Football Recap: Athens Christian Piles Up the Points Against the King's Academy

Athens Christian owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat The King's Academy Knights 29-0. Considering the Eagles have won three matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Despite the loss, The King's Academy still got an impressive performance from Jaxon Bone, who rushed for 147 yards while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, and also picked up 44 receiving yards. Bone was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.

The victory got Athens Christian back to even at 4-4. As for The King's Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coincidentally, Athens Christian and The King's Academy will both be playing Lakeview Academy the next time they take the field. The Knights will head out to face the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Eagles will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th.
