Basketball Recap: Kolby Watson Key Part of Team Effort in Leopards Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Banks County walked away with it. They secured an 81-76 W over the Chattooga Indians on Wednesday. This was payback for the Leopards, who suffered a 67-57 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Banks County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kolby Watson, who went 11-for-21 en route to 32 points and five boards. The dominant performance also gave Watson a new career-high in three-point shooting accuracy (75%). Another player making a difference was Luke Dale, who went 7-for-16 to rack up 19 points and four steals.

Banks County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-11 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.3 points over those games. Chattooga's loss dropped their record down to 22-6.

Banks County has already played their next matchup, a 79-41 defeat against Southwest on the 22nd. Chattooga does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
