Basketball Game Preview: Concordia Mustangs vs. Arlington Eagles

The Concordia Mustangs will square off against the Arlington Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Concordia saw some tournament action on Monday. They took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Grace Samuelson, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Charis Hughes was another key player, putting up nine points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Arlington entered their tilt with Holdrege on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They came out on top against the Dusters by a score of 50-40.

Concordia has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season. As for Arlington, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Concordia lost to Arlington at home by a decisive 51-35 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Arlington's Emerson Timm, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 steals. Now that Concordia knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
