Football Game Preview: Cambridge vs. Dodgeland

If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Cambridge. On Friday they will take on Dodgeland at 7:00 PM. Cambridge strut in flaunting some offensive muscle with an average of 36.67 points per game.

Last Friday, Cambridge put the finishing touches on their 6th blowout victory of the season. Everything went their way against New Glarus/Monticello as they made off with a 49-21 win. The victory was familiar territory for Cambridge, who now have nine in a row.

Meanwhile, Dodgeland came into their this week averaging 31.13 points per game, but Dodgeland fell well short of that average, and it cost them. They were completely outmatched, falling 7-54 to Horicon/Hustisford. The low total for Dodgeland limited their streak of high-flying scores to three in a row.

Cambridge's win lifted them to 9-0 while Dodgeland's loss dropped them down to 5-4. In their win, Cambridge relied heavily on senior Denver Evans, who passed for 252 yards and 3 touchdowns. Dodgeland will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
