Volleyball Recap: Vanguard Academy Knights vs. Providence Hall Patriots
Vanguard Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Providence Hall on Friday. The Vanguard Academy Knights fell just short of the Providence Hall Patriots by a score of 2-1. While the Knights didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 25-14 in the first set.
Vanguard Academy actually scored more points across those three sets (58-54), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 14-25, 25-23, 15-10.
Their offense was headlined by Brayson Taylor and Ryker Jackson, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Ben Kingston and his 16 assists. He and Jackson didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.
