Basketball Game Preview: Jackson Heights Cobras vs. Oskaloosa Bears

Jackson Heights is 8-2 against Oskaloosa since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Jackson Heights Cobras will head out on the road to square off against the Oskaloosa Bears.

Jackson Heights came up into this matchup off a tough 21-point loss on January 3rd. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Oskaloosa by a score of 45-42 on Tuesday. The Cobras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, Jackson Heights saw an underclassman step up: freshman Nicole Amon posted eight points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 boards set a new season-high mark for Amon. Chesnea Cochren was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.

Jackson Heights' loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Oskaloosa, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
