Baseball Recap: North Arlington Finds Home Field Redemption Against Harrison

There's no place like home for North Arlington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They never let the Harrison Blue Tide get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Blue Tide: they've now won nine in a row.

North Arlington got a great performance from Matt Higgins as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Chris Troyano was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with six stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rohan Patel, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.

North Arlington's victory bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Harrison, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Arlington will host Secaucus at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Harrison, they will challenge Weehawken at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
