Baseball Recap: Hickory Extends Winning Streak to Four

Hickory had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the West Iredell Warriors. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-5 last Tuesday.

Hickory's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for West Iredell, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-10.

Coming up, Hickory will head out to challenge Statesville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Iredell, they will host Foard at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Warriors are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
