Basketball Recap: Balboa Piles Up the Points Against Jordan Christian Prep

Balboa's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Jordan Christian Prep Seahawks 74-41.

Several Seahawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lucy Berry, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 13 boards. Berry's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maria Rangel, who almost dropped a double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.

Balboa now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Jordan Christian Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Balboa will challenge Wekiva at 11:30 a.m. on Friday. As for Jordan Christian Prep, they will venture away from home to take on Avon Park at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
