Softball Recap: Alonso Takes a Loss

Alonso and Newsome squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Alonso had to settle for second. They came up short against the Wolves, falling 9-2. The Ravens haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Alonso saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenna Sturgis, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles. Another was Jolie Perillo, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Alonso's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Newsome, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-5.

Alonso does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Newsome, they will face off against Sumner at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
