Basketball Recap: Salem Takes a Loss

Salem suffered their biggest defeat since February 6th on Friday. They were dealt a 72-43 loss at the hands of the Norwood Pirates.

Norwood's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Peyton McDaris led the charge by going 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Gunner Bradshaw, who made all 6 shots he took to post 13 points and six rebounds.

Salem has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Norwood, the win keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

Salem will venture away from home to face off against Osage at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Norwood, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-47 victory against Eminence on the 28th.
