Softball Recap: Steilacoom Comes Up Short

Steilacoom lost against Eatonville back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sentinels came up short against the Cruisers, falling 25-7. The Sentinels' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Hannah Basford was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Steilacoom's record is now 1-9. As for Eatonville, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Steilacoom will be playing at home against Fife at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eatonville, they will head out on the road to square off against Clover Park at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Timberwolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 21.83 runs per game on average), something the Cruisers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
