Basketball Recap: Heritage Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Heritage walked away with it. They secured a 53-48 W over the Loudoun Valley Vikings on Wednesday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 60-49 victory on February 3rd.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Becks Hetzel, who made all 5 shots he took racking up 10 points. That's the most points Hetzel has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Masyn Miller, who put up ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Heritage's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.2 points over those games. As for Loudoun Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Heritage has already played their next matchup, a 36-34 victory against Tuscarora on the 21st. Loudoun Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
