Basketball Recap: Benson Comes Up Short

Benson lost against Scottsdale Christian Academy back in January of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Benson Bobcats were outmatched by the Scottsdale Christian Academy Eagles and fell 57-23. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Eagles are ranked 103rd).

Luke Chapman was Benson's leading scorer, having posted six points. Kellen Deskins held things down on the boards with nine rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Benson and nudges their season record down to 3-12. As for Scottsdale Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Benson has already played their next contest, a 53-44 loss against Bradshaw Mountain on the 4th. As for Scottsdale Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-58 defeat against Walden Grove on the 4th.
