Football Game Preview: DeLand Bulldogs vs. Creekside Knights + Official Tickets

The DeLand Bulldogs will take on the Creekside Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. DeLand will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

DeLand's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 win over Spruce Creek. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 28 points or more this season.

Taihj Moore and Marceles Carey were among the main playmakers for DeLand as the former gained 253 total yards and two touchdowns and the latter gained 174 total yards and two touchdowns. Carey also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing one fumble and making five total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.

DeLand was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 253 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to DeLand's defense and their three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Jeremiah Smokes, Ladamion Bletcher, and Joe Johnson, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Creekside had taken Ponte Vedra down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end two weeks ago. The Knights fell 17-7 to the Sharks. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Sharks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

DeLand's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Creekside, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
