La Quinta has gone a perfect 7-0 against Santa Ana Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. La Quinta will head out on the road to take on Santa Ana Valley at 3:00 p.m. La Quinta knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Santa Ana Valley likes a good challenge.

While La Quinta's win against Estancia wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. La Quinta skirted past Estancia 13-12. The victory continues a trend for the Aztecs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Santa Ana Valley had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-3 win over the Panthers. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by exactly four runs.

Espy Guerrero spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on eight hits.

At the plate, Valeria Gomez was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she hit this season. Another player making a difference was Karla Oliva, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The victory got La Quinta back to even at 4-4. As for Santa Ana Valley, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Everything went La Quinta's way against Santa Ana Valley in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, as La Quinta made off with an 11-0 victory. Does La Quinta have another victory up their sleeve, or will Santa Ana Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
