After a string of five wins, Dr. Phillips's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They came up short against the Apopka Blue Darters, falling 68-48. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Blue Darters are ranked 46th).

Dr. Phillips' loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Apopka, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 13-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dr. Phillips will head out to challenge Freedom at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Apopka, they are taking a road trip to square off against Windermere at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Windermere knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 16 matches -- so hopefully Apopka likes a good challenge.
