            The Sterling Golden Warriors will head out on the road to  challenge  the Ottawa Pirates  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Sterling proved they can win big  on Wednesday (they won by nine) and  on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Moline  13-12. The Golden Warriors haven't had any issues with the Maroons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive  victory against them.
 The team  relied heavily on  Bree Taylor, who  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. Those  two  doubles gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Lily Martinez, who  went 2-for-5 with two  runs and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile,  winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Ottawa). They were the clear victors by  a  15-3 margin over Sandwich on Friday. The  win was familiar territory for the Pirates, who have now won three  games in a row.
 Sterling pushed their record up to 18-6 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 17.3 runs over those games. As for Ottawa, their victory bumped their record up to 17-10.
