Baseball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin lost against Concord Christian back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tornadoes fell just short of the Kingsmen by a score of 4-2. The Tornadoes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Concord Christian, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Franklin will challenge rival Portsmouth Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Concord Christian is set to take on their familiar foe Mascenic Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Kingsmen 1.9, the Vikings 4.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
