Soccer Game Preview: Goddard vs. Augusta + How To Watch

The Goddard Lions will head out to challenge the Augusta Orioles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Goddard barely beat Salina Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. Goddard haven't had any issues with Salina Central recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Goddard hit Salina Central with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Elijah Mott, Azaiele Banuelos, and Ty Holsteen.

Meanwhile, Augusta has been on a difficult stretch since their win on September 9. They and Hesston finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw on Thursday.

Goddard's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. With that draw, Augusta's record moves to 2-6-2.

Everything went Goddard's way against Augusta in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Goddard made off with a 4-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
